We are pleased to officially extend an invitation to you to New York University’s Model United Nations Conference IX! Hosted from April 5 to April 8, 2017, at NYU’s famed Greenwich Village campus, NYUMUNC IX is sure to prove to be our most dynamic and exciting conference to date.  This year we are introducing new dynamic committees and enhance the delegate experience by building on what has worked in the past to provide a stellar experience to every attendee.

We are extremely excited to announce this year we are branching out from our regular focus on Joint Crisis Committees (JCC) to bring the first ever General Crisis Committees (GC) to NYUMUNC. These three committees will not only lend themselves to thought-provoking and boisterous debate but also tackle some pertinent issues facing the world today.

Staying true to our roots of being a JCC-centric conference, we will be offering three different JCC universes with a total of thirteen unique committees. Delegates will have the opportunities to work with other committees on a scale not offered anywhere else on the collegiate circuit and engage in historical, contemporary and futuristic universes.  Every delegate falls into their niche, and we look forward to providing an astounding Model UN experience to all you.

We are excited to use the new and improved “Systems” this year as well. Systems is our entirely electronic note writing system. NYUMUNC is conscious of impact it has on the environment and Systems is just one way in which we are committed to being one of the greenest collegiate conferences.

We look forward to seeing each and everyone one of you and the ideas you bring to debate this spring.

Best regards,

Rachel Perelman

Director-General NYUMUNC IX

Jack Barker

Secretary-General NYUMUNC IX
