Chair - Anna Marks

Bio:

Hailing from the mystical land of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Anna is an outdoors-lover that has uprooted herself to the wonderful island paradise of Manhattan. As a student studying Modern Languages, she has a love for connecting with people from all different backgrounds, something that she constantly pursues as she explores New York and the world beyond. She is a member of NYU's competitive travel team and and relishes in meeting people from all across the globe through this activity. Above all, she hopes that her committee will bring delegates not only a greater understanding of the Ottoman Empire, but also insight into the conflicts that persist today across the region.

CD - Aya Issa

Bio:

Aya boasts fluency in two of the world's most misspoken and mispronounced languages, English and Arabic. Aya, of course, speaks the most beautiful version of the two languages, European English and Lebanese Arabic. She occasionally switches to French. Aya wishes to be the queen of the Arab World and write her own Code of Hammurabi. Until then, she is a Business and Politics student. When she's not complaining about pulling three all-nighters in a row, Aya can be found procrastinating on Netflix, exploring speakeasies, and hunting down New York's best coffee shops.
