Aditya Rao is a senior at New York University studying economics and politics. His areas of special interest are in historical economics, sovereign debt, and the political economy of bureaucracy. This is his fourth year as part of the NYU MUN team. He speaks English, Kannada, and broken Mandarin Chinese. His name is spoken in hushed whispers throughout the nation. He is known for his prowess at sedating baleen whales. He is the sword in the darkness. He is the watcher on the walls. He is the fire that burns against the cold, the light that brings the dawn, the horn that wakes the sleepers, the shield that guards the realms of men. His resume is written entirely in Comic Sans – and he still gets a call back from interviewers. He is churlish and insubordinate. When you stare into the void, he stares back. He always puts his best foot forward. Always. He is kind and loving. Some say he is a shapeshifter. He is bae.
Jack Barker is currently in the Liberal Studies program focusing on international relations. Jack began his Model UN career his sophomore year of high school and has been hooked ever since. He participates at the collegiate level not only through NYUMUNC, but also as a member of NYU’s travel team. Originally from the suburbs of Chicago, Jack spends lots of his time focused on Chicago sports teams. That being said, please avoid mentioning the inconsistency of Jay Cutler, the injuries to Patrick Kane and Derrick Rose, or the general state of the Cubs baseball franchise. Or the Packers.
