Varun is a budding finance enthusiast with aspirations to work on the buy-side. Apart from being a keen researcher of classical political economies, he strongly believes that theoretical knowledge combined with understanding of consumer sentiment can help us to assess financial results of the future rather than to speculate based on conventional methods. In his free time, he’ll either be unwinding, working out or surfing the Internet to find peculiar documentaries; quite the liking. Since he’s been born and brought up in the metropolitan capital of New Delhi, he’s been privy to living in the extreme corners of the world. He attributes his global sense and his values to his life experiences.
Alyx is a sophomore double-majoring in Politics and Global Liberal Studies, with a concentration in Politics, Rights, and Development. She has been participating in Model UN for four years and this is her second NYUMUNC. For fun, she likes to play soccer and charades, race go-karts, and go scuba-diving. Her favorite things in the world are puppies; and if you give her the chance, she will talk to you for hours about her six dogs. Alyx is also a firm believer in the power of a good nap.
